Anti-spam watches how members post, not what they say. Ten rules each have their own threshold and action: message floods, repeated messages, mass mentions, @everyone attempts, capital letters, emoji, line breaks, attachment, link and sticker floods. Every rule is counted per server and per member, so activity in another server never counts here. When a rule fires, the message is handled by the action set for that rule and a case records what happened.

Anti-spam rules and thresholds
Each rule page has a switch, its thresholds and its action. Flood rules (messages, attachments, links, stickers) count within a time window; duplicates compare the normalised text of a member's recent messages, and with "across members" the same text posted by several members counts as raid spam. The @everyone rule has two modes: "without permission" reacts to members who write @everyone or @here without being allowed to ping (the ping never went through, nobody who may ping is ever punished), "new members" reacts to real pings by members who joined recently. Repeated triggers within the same window only delete the message and update the open case instead of creating a new one.

Ghost pings
A ghost ping is a message that pings someone and is deleted by its author within a minute. Defendr logs it as a card in the Messages log category with the author, the channel and who was pinged; the text itself is never stored. Deletions by moderators are not ghost pings: Defendr checks the audit log for a moderator deletion first. Without the View Audit Log permission, or when the check could not run, the card says "possibly a moderator deletion". Replies that only ping the person replied to are ignored, and so are Defendr's own deletions.

Anti-spam exemptions
Roles, channels and members listed on the anti-spam exemptions page are never checked by any spam rule; a category exempts all channels in it. Members who hold one of the bypass permissions from the Exemptions page (by default Administrator and Manage Server) are fully exempt from anti-spam as well. The global exemptions apply to every protection module.
