1. Scope
These terms apply to the use of the Discord app "Defendr" and of the website defendr.live with app.defendr.live and status.defendr.live (Samuel Sakli, c/o Autorenglück #66851, Albert-Einstein-Straße 47, 02977 Hoyerswerda, Deutschland). Protection by Defendr is free of charge. Optional convenience features may later be offered for a fee through Discord; they never extend the protection, only the convenience.
2. Eligibility and sign-in
Discord's own terms apply in addition. You must meet the minimum age required by Discord and by the country you live in (at least 13 years).
On the website you sign in with your Discord account; there is no separate Defendr account. What you may see and do there follows your permissions in Discord. Keep your Discord account protected (we recommend two-factor authentication) and do not pass your sign-in or your session on to others.
3. Responsibilities of server operators
Server operators choose the settings themselves and are responsible for using them lawfully, whether they make them in Discord or on the website. A change made on the website has the same effect as the same change in Discord and is attributed to the person who made it in the server's history and log channel. Server operators inform their members that Defendr is in use (privacy policy: https://defendr.live/en/privacy) and do not use Defendr to harass individuals.
4. Acceptable use
The following are prohibited: abusing the report function, filing false reports, attempting to bypass, overload or attack Defendr, and systematically scraping Defendr's output. On the website the following are prohibited as well: automated access (scripts, bots, crawlers), except search engines indexing the public pages; circumventing request limits; sharing sessions or session cookies; security testing that does not follow our security policy (https://defendr.live/en/security).
5. Availability and changes
No particular availability is promised, neither for Defendr nor for the website or the status page. During maintenance the personal area and the server administration may be unavailable for a while. Changes are announced through the release notes (/defendr › Changelog). Updated presets never escalate enforcement without the server's consent.
6. Detections and limitations
Defendr does not provide complete protection. Detection is designed for precision before completeness. False positives can be reported with the False positive button on the log card.
7. Reports, network listings and appeals
Reports are reviewed. Network-wide Safety Records that Defendr creates itself follow a published scope policy; trade disputes, personal conflicts and off-platform behaviour are out of scope. Entries that Defendr takes over automatically from the ScammerAlert community lists follow ScammerAlert's own criteria, are marked as a third-party list not checked by Defendr and end when ScammerAlert withdraws or deletes them.
Unreviewed records never trigger an automated action; they only show moderators a warning. Every decision can be reviewed with /appeal or on the website under "My Defendr".
8. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and under the Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an obligation whose fulfilment makes the proper use of Defendr possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely (material contractual obligation), and then limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of service. Liability for slight negligence is otherwise excluded.
9. Termination
You can remove Defendr from your server, sign out of the website and withdraw Defendr's access to your account in Discord under Settings › Authorized Apps at any time. Deletion of the data follows the privacy policy (https://defendr.live/en/privacy).
10. Changes to these terms
We announce new versions of these terms in advance in the changelog and on the website. They apply to further use from the date they state. If you do not agree with a new version, you can stop using Defendr at any time (section 9). Previous versions stay available.
11. Governing law
German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence are unaffected.
